Contact Us
Every message sent to I Walk Softly is read by one of the people who write and edit the site. There is no call centre and no ticket number, just a small team with a shared inbox: inbox@iwalksoftly.com. The form on this page opens your own email program with that address filled in, if that is easier.
Messages we are glad to get
You think something is wrong
A sentence that overstates a benefit, a piece of guidance that has since changed, a confusing explanation of a measurement. Corrections are the messages we most want to receive, and we act on them as quickly as we can.
You have a topic in mind
Perhaps you keep wondering how to walk more in winter, how to wind down after a late shift or what a particular food label means. If a question about everyday health keeps nagging at you, there is a fair chance other readers share it.
You want to tell us how an article landed
Too long, too basic, just right, a step missing? We rework older pieces regularly, and honest feedback shapes what changes.
What we cannot do
We are writers, not health professionals, so we cannot look at symptoms, interpret test results, suggest doses or tell you whether a treatment suits you. Please keep personal medical details out of your message; a doctor or pharmacist who knows your situation is the right person for those conversations. If you feel unwell right now, do not wait for an email reply: contact a health professional, and in an emergency call your local emergency number. Our health information notice explains this in more detail.
Company pitches can go to the same address, though questions from readers are always answered first.
When to expect an answer
We try to reply within a week. During busy spells it can take a little longer, and messages that are purely informative, such as a quick thank-you, may not receive a response at all, though they are still read and appreciated. If you have reported a mistake, we will usually let you know once the page has been updated.
Helpful details to include
- which article you mean, by title or link;
- the specific passage you mean, copied or summarised;
- where you came across different information, if you did;
- whether you would like a reply.
Your message and your privacy
We use your email only to deal with what you have written. It is not added to a list, shared or sold. Full details are in the privacy policy. If your question is a common one, the Questions & Answers page may already cover it.

A few quick answers
Will you look at my symptoms or test results?
We cannot. Nobody here is a health professional, so a doctor or pharmacist is the right person for anything about your own health.
How long does a reply take?
Usually within a week. Corrections tend to be handled first.
Can I send a product for you to review?
We cannot promise to review products. A factual correction about something we have already written is always welcome, though.
